McIntosh named Buxton manager

Club statement

Following interviews on Saturday, the board of directors at Buxton Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Martin McIntosh as the new manager at the club.

Scottish-born McIntosh enjoyed a long playing career in both Scotland and England with his time at both Rotherham United and Stockport County being highlights. He has previous management experience at Worksop Town where his team gave the Bucks a bit of a hiding at the end of the last season.

The Buxton Directors would like to thank the 30+ applicants who enquired about the job. The quality was very high.
Buxton Chairman Tony Tomlinson will be issuing a full statement over the next couple of days with more details of the appointment.
