Michael Mcintyre aids Millers

Carlton Town

Kind-hearted Carlton Town coach Alan Sewell has donated the VIP tickets to see comic Michael McIntrye he’d won at a club raffle back to the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South outfit to help them get over a devastating raid by thieves and vandals.

August’s raid in which the club’s charity box was also stolen piled financial pressure on the Millers after leaving a scene of destuction in the club house and bar at the Bill Stokfeld Stadiumn. Now Town's first team coach has stepped in to offer his four tickets in a corporate suite to see the popular comic on Thursday night at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena to the highest bidder.

Sewell, who won the tickets at Carlton Town’s beer festival, said: "I know the pressure the club is under at the moment so if I can raise a little by giving this prize back, I am only too happy to help."

He added: "They have invoices coming out of everywhere, such was the amount of damage caused. The excess is £1,250 alone and that’s without any further upgrades which I understand will run into thousands,"

Anyone wishing to make an offer on the four tickets should call the club office on 0115 958 1735 or call Commercial Manager Tim Harris on 07848 491983.
