Ashton United’s midfielder Ashley Young is keeping his girlfriend happy and helping the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s Robins raise funds for a local hospice by having his chest waxed for St Valentine's Day!

And from the look on her face, Young’s girlfriend Ellie Kitchen can’t wait to get her claws into him after he bravely ‘volunteered’ to undergo a full and by the looks of it, possibly painful, chest waxing treatment in aid of Tameside’s Willow Wood Hospice.

The Premier Division club and its supporters are now rallying around to raise donations before Young heads to the newly opened Adam & Eve Waxing and Threading Company’s salon in Ashton on February 13 for ‘treatment’.

Young kicked off his career at Burnley before moving on to Bury and then north of the border to Falkirk followed by Erie Admirals in the USA and Australia’s Bunbury Forum Force. He signed for Ashton from Nantwich in September 2013 and is being backed by Robins officials and volunteers who’ve already held one bucket collection among fans at Hurst Cross during the recent 3-3 draw with Blyth Spartans.
