Midfielder moves on after injury

Whitby Town manager Chris Hardy has let midfielder James Risbrough leave the EVO-STIK League's Seasiders in search of a new challenge as he recovers from injury.

Risbrough's contract at the Turnbull Ground was cancelled by mutual consent ahead of the club's trip to Rushall Olympic on Saturday after the 25-year-old found his first-team opportunities limited since picking up an injury against Grantham Town back in August.

The attack-minded player, pictured, signed for the Seasiders early in August from Sweden's Ytterhogdals IK after impressing while on trial in pre-season with energetic displays against Blyth Spartans and South Shields. Before moving to Sweden, Risbrough had spells with Guisborough Town and Spennymoor Town.

A spokesman for the EVO-STIK League Premier Division club said: "The club would like to thank James for his services and wish him all the very best for the future."
