Millers taste sponsorship success

Carlton Town have signed Costa Coffee as their new first team shirt sponsors for next season.

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Millers announced on Friday that one of UK’s favourite coffee shop chains, with branches all around Nottingham, were taking over from the MSR Newsgroup as front of shirt sponsors on their home strip. Long-time sponsors MSR Newgroup remain as the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South club's proud main sponsors.

Costa are opening a new outlet in the Victoria Retail Park in Netherfield this summer and Carlton say the deal came about as the company was keen to have a community partnership with the Millers in place ahead of the opening.

Delighted Millers Chairman Mick Garton said: "Hopefully it's the start of something that will grow and we will receive free coverage of our events and games advertised in the new local store. They will sponsor the home kit next season and they have ideas to further develop our relationship over the season as do we so we will see where it takes us in the coming months."

To mark their new sponsorship deal, Costa will be guests of honour for the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South outfit's fixture against Belper Town next Wednesday [March 27].

Leigh Calladine, Costa’s Regional Manager, said: "It’s important for Costa to really play a part in the communities in which we operate; be it creating new jobs in the area, providing popular social meeting places or getting involved in day-to-day life. Carlton Town FC is in the heart of Nottingham’s local community and we are looking forward to playing a major part in the club's 2013-2014 season."
