The only game in the EVO-STIK Leages's Premier Division on Monday night was the battle between third placed Curzon Ashton and the division's unbeaten leaders Skelmersdale United, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.
A crowd of 241 at the Tameside Stadium saw the home side take a 13th minute lead when Matty Warburton headed home from a corner.
Both sides had chances after that but as the referee indicated four minutes of added time at the end, Cuzon's youth team product Jordan Wright scored a goal to grace any game. Spotting Skem keeper Martin Fearon off his line from the half-way line, he promptly beat him to seal the points and send the home side to the top of the table.
