Monday's Premier Division action review

By David Watters

Hyde United earned three valuable points after coming back from behind to beat Buxton 2-1 in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Premier Division on Monday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Tigers needed a win to avoid being sucked deeper into the battle to avoid the drop, while the visitors were comfortably positioned in mid-table.

But it was the Bucks who took the lead through Alistair Taylor with a neat finish. The Tigers eventually got themselves back on level terms after 54 minutes with a cracking 25 yarder from Scott Spencer.

And then on 68 minutes, Spencer headed home what turned out to be Hyde`s winner to leave them nine points ahead of the drop zone, although the teams currently in the bottom four do all possess two games in hand on the Tigers.
