After dominating possession in the opening exchanges it came as no surprise when the Pitmen took the lead in the 20th minute, former Steelman Ashley Sammons firing in from 25 yards.
And the hosts virtually made sure of the win in the 71st minute when George Carline headed home from a corner just moments after he had seen an effort hit the post. This was followed by a third for the home side seven minutes later when Jim Mutton headed in his first goal for the club from close range.
The win lifted the Pitmen to third place in the table while Stourbridge slipped to a lacklustre defeat against lowly Sutton Coldfield Town at the War Memorial Ground on Monday evening.
Danny O'Callaghan scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time as he capitalised on a comedy of errors from the Glassboys. The result means Stourbridge stay twelfth in the table, while back-to-back victories have lifted the Royals up to eighteenth place.
