New pair of healing hands needed

The EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club's players urgently need a new pair of healing hands after other commitments forced current physio Matt Schofield to announce his intention to stand down.

Schofield is happy to stay on to support the transition of his successor who will report to Paul Quinn, offering pitchside treatment and after care including support, rehabilitation and injury prevention advice to players at the club with the focus on the manager's first team stars.

The suitably qualified physiotherapist will be expected to attend all first team fixtures and training, have good communication skills and educate players in terms of injury prevention, injury care and rehabilitation.

Ideally, candidates for the paid role will have experience in sport working within a semi-professional or professional first team environment. A degree in physiotherapy, sports therapy or sports rehabilitation and first aid qualifications are essential as are HCPC and CSP registration and MSOST membership and insurance.

The club's first team trains on Thursdays, play their home midweek matches on Monday nights and a spokesman said: "Brighouse is an ambitious semi-professional football club requiring candidates who are keen on developing their experience in the sports sector. The role is a paid position and pay will depend on the level of experience. The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications and be available for all matchdays and Thursday evening training sessions."
