More Player of the Month awards handed out

The Bowland Brewery Player of the Month awards for December continue to be handed out across EVO-STIK Northern Premier League clubs.

Midfield Alex Curran picked up Colne’s award, having scored three goals in four games during December.

He scored two in the draw against Newcastle Town, following that up with a goal in the 3-1 win at Clitheroe on Boxing Day.

On-loan winger Dan Vann scooped Chasetown’s award for December. The youngster is at the club from Walsall, and is pictured with the club’s procurement manager, Richard Lamb.

Colwyn Bay fullback Alex Downes has been voted the Bowland Brewery Player of the Month for December by club supporters and received his award  from manager Craig Hogg.

The 19-year-old, who is on a season-long loan from Chester, won the supporters poll held on the Official Colwyn Bay FC facebook page.

After scoring his first goal for the club in November, he put in consistently high performances through December in which the Bay won four games out of five.

Ramsbottom's Player of the Month for supporters was captain, and former Leicester City, Barnsley, Rochdale and Bury defender Tom Kennedy.

Kennedy was presented with his award and a case of beer from the League’s sponsors Bowland Brewery ahead of the League game against Leek Town, by young Rammy supporter Matthew Frampton.
