MOTD vote on skipper's solo strike!

Blyth Spartans

Robbie Dale is in the running to win the BBC Match of the Day Goal of the Third Round Award after his heroics for EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Blyth Spartans.

The Spartans skipper, pictured, has been nominated for his second goal against Birmingham City when he ghosted past four defenders before coolly scoring his seventh goal in six FA Cup ties with a run and finish from 18 yards.

The 30-year-old has been with the Premier Division club for 11 seasons - either side of a short spell at Whitley Bay in 2011 - and proud officials at Croft Park are now urging their fans and others around the EVO-STIK NPL, to vote for Dale who'd given them a 2-0 half-time advantage before the Championship giants shattered their dreams with three goals in 12 minutes after the break.

To vote for Dale, who'd scored 122 goals in 396 games before the start of the season and has even been immortalised with his own personalised Subbuteo figure after the club's now famous run to the third round by knocking out Hartlepool United, tweet to @BBCMOTD using the #BBCDale hashtag.
