Neal Bishop announces departure from Scarborough Athletic

The veteran midfielder has announced his departure from the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club on social media this week.

Bishop joined Scarborough in September after discussions with manager Darren Kelly, and even admitted he had turned down offers as high as Football League Two to join the club.

He said on Twitter: "Disappointed with the way things turned out last season, was looking forward to a year back at @safc, not meant to be though!

"All the best to the club going forward, but I’m looking to play more locally next year and enjoy watching mini Bish start his journey."
