EVO-STIK League Loughborough Dynamo have a new face at the helm after unveiling Vaughan Williams as their new chairman.

Williams, pictured at the First Division South club’s Nanpantan Sports Ground, officially took over on July 1 from former chairman Frank Fall as the club prepares to celebrate its sixtieth anniversary season.

He is raring to go in his new role after his previous experience of the EVO-STIK League circles and said: "I am very pleased to be here at Dynamo. I wish to thank my predecessor as chairman, Frank Fall, for his service to the club over many years as both player and club official.

"What particularly appealed to me is the approaching sixtieth anniversary of the club. Dynamo clearly has a solid foundation historically. The town of Loughborough has an excellent reputation in sport and I look forward to help develop that here at Dynamo."

Dynamo returned to training last week and kick off in their first pre-season friendly on Wednesday at Hucknall Town. On Monday, officials also revealed that three key players are set to miss the start of the season next month. Keeper Kahil Mann-Kler and forward Kris Nurse are both injured while last season's captain and long serving centre-back Jake Betts is currently taking a break from the game.

Manager Tommy Brookbanks has bolstered his squad with a number of new arrivals including keeper James Lindley from Belper Town, defender Danny Jenno from Coalville Town and midfielder Brad Munn from Carlton Town.

Midfielder Steve Towers, who arrived on deadline day last season from Conference side Brackley Town, has also returned for the new season along with regulars Rob Norris, Nathan Watson, locally based midfielder Mitchell Williams and forward Matt Langham.
