New commercial role up for grabs

By David Watters

Marine are on the look out for a commercial manager to drive and develop the club's sponsorship and advertising over the upcoming 2016-17 EVO-STIK Northern Premier League campaign.

The EVO-STIK NPL's Integro League Challenge Cup holders announced on Monday that they are looking for the right man or woman to take the commercial helm at The Marine Travel Arena.

The Mariners have set a deadline of Friday 19 August for potential candidates to submit their CVs for the commission-based role offering flexible working hours.

The EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club will also cover all reasonable expenses and officials believe the chance to lead the commercial activities at Liverpool's number one Non-League club will prove to be a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate.

Marine chairman Paul Leary said: “This is a great opportunity for a local person who would like to get involved at Marine. We do well at sponsorship and advertising but would like to take it up another level to support our football ambitions.

"There are a number of opportunities that we have identified in advertising and match, stand and event sponsorships through the year that the successful applicant could progress. We are all volunteers at Marine and we have decided that we need a commercial minded person on a self-employed commission and expenses basis to give us a lift in these areas.”

Leary added: “These are exciting times at Marine and now is the moment to build on the increasing interest in our football club following the success of the team at the end of the last two seasons and to the extra support that the club is enjoying currently.

"I am sure that the right person will enjoy being part of the Marine family through new associations and involvement and find the opportunity rewarding from a social and financial viewpoint.”

Applications should be sent via email to Marine secretary Richard Cross at richard@marinefc.com on or before Friday 19 August.
