The match was sponsored by Chase Chamber of Commerce, with the dugout opening event organised by Crown Highways, who sponsored the dugouts alongside Travis Perkins, Chasetown FC Supporters Club and the Football Association.
Steve Jones, chairman of Crown Highways, said: "It is very satisfying when an initial idea gathers momentum and everyone pulls together for the successful delivery of a project.
"The costs of these projects is never easy on the pocket but I’m glad to say with everyone working collaboratively, donating time, materials and money, we managed to scrape through by the skin of our teeth to finally deliver a project that will satisfy current and future legislation for many year to come, so we can take a breath and begin to identify the next project!"
Unfortunately, Chasetown couldn’t mark the occasion with a win - going down 2-0.
They have managed to win both their games since though, beating Staveley Miner Welfare in the FA Cup and coming from behind to beat Newcastle Town 4-2 on Tuesday night.
