Ossett Albion

Ossett Albion's joint managers Lloyd Fellows and Paul Watson have brought in fresh reinforcements as they bid to steer clear of the relegation zone.

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Unicorns announced on Tuesday that defender Robert Tonks had signed from from neighbours Ossett Town and experienced striker Adam Muller had joined from Farsley. Both are expected to be included in Albion's squad for their game gainst Lancaster City at the WareHouse Systems Stadium on Saturday.

Tonks is a solid defender with a wealth of experience following spells at Wakefield and Bradford Park Avenue on top of Ossett Town. Muller, 30 is an experienced striker who also has a vast amount of experience at Evo-Stik NPL level following spells at Worksop Town, Guiseley and Eastwood Town.

The Evo-Stik NPL First Division North club's joint manager Fellows said: "We have struggled to get results in recent games and felt the need to bolster the squad as we move into the second half of the season. In Rob and Adam we have signed two experienced players who will strengthen our squad in our battle to move away from the wrong end of the table.

"Due to the recent bad weather we still have half of our games to play and we will need a larger squad to enable us to compete in the inevitable two games per week. We are also looking at a number of other options and hope to make at least one more signing over the next week or so."
