New season, new station for fans

Fans can look forward to a brand new mix of commentary and content on Radio Blyth Live keeping them entertained over the upcoming 2016-17 season following the launch of the new online station at EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Blyth Spartans.

Spartans supporters unable to make it to Croft Park will once again be spared the pain of missing out on the action with the new interet-based service promising live commentary of all home games and as many away fixtures as possible.

Broadcasting on mixlr.com/blythspartans using spanking new equipment, the station's coverage will be led by veteran club broadcaster Ryan Gray and several members of the club's award-winning media team.

Gray said: “This service also hopes to provide listeners with extra content throughout the season, including interviews with players and management staff, to help fans remain in touch with the club all the way through the imminent campaign and allow listeners to communicate directly with the media ream via its online chat function.

“Listening figures grew steadily throughout last season and the club would like to thank those who regularly tuned in to hear the commentary. Hopes are high for another entertaining season and the media team look forward to broadcasting to listeners once again as they look to ensure that the new service will prove to be successful.

“Furthermore, new facilities and equipment hope to eradicate the technical problems that occasionally disrupted the airwaves last season, and will provide listeners with an exhilarating and entertaining service.

“The club is very excited about this new opportunity and all in the media team cannot wait to keep the loyal supporters informed of the goings on at Croft Park by providing them with even more content via this new interactive platform.”
