New sponsors loving new look

Radcliffe's commercial team have signed a major new sponsor for the upcoming 2017-18 EVO-STIK League season as the club steps up its rebranding.

R & M Developments were unveiled on Monday as the EVO-STIK League North club's latest commercial partners after agreeing a deal for pitchside and programme advertising on matchdays as well a permanent presence on the club's official website.

Based in East Manchester, the leading building and civil engineering contractors are one of the region’s leading suppliers to the residential and commercial construction sectors with a turnover of £12 million and a workforce of 120 people. As well as the advertising package, the new sponsors will also be able to bring ten guests along to the sponsors lounge on matchdays, enjoy the use of four season tickets and enter a team into the club’s annual golf day.

Former Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Everton and West Bromwich Albion star Kevin Campbell, an ambassador for the club's official charity XPRO Life After Sport, is pictured giving his seal of approval to the deal at Stainton Park alongside R & M Developments managing director Thomas McKenna.

McKenna said: “We have had an informal relationship advising on property matters for a while and established a good connection. We are delighted to be now moving onto a formal sponsor arrangement in support of a profile-raising campaign for the company.”

Club chairman Paul Hilton said: “Tom’s building and related experience has been invaluable to us and we are very pleased that he has now agreed to become a sponsor. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial association.”

Founded in 1949, Radcliffe Borough are currently rebranding themselves as Radcliffe FC after releasing a new badge and livery earlier this summer. Officials hope to complete the makeover in time for the start of next season when their name change is due to be officially recognised by the Football Association.

The rebrand follows a major review to modernise all aspects of the club led by Hilton following his appointment last summer. Although they must wait for the green light from the FA to officially change their name, the proud chairman says they are already referring to themselves informally as Radcliffe FC and are encouraging everyone connected with the club to follow suit.
