North Ferriby Manager Steps Down

By Alan Allcock

Club Official Website reports on John Anderson resignation.

North Ferriby United's turbulent season took a surprise turn with the resignation of Manager John Anderson following Saturday's 4-1 Evostik Northern Premier League Premier Division home defeat by Buxton.

Club Chairman Les Hare said, "John tendered his resignation following the Buxton match. In doing so, he said that he thought he had perhaps taken the club as far as he could and that it was probably the right time for a new manager to take the Club forward.

Reluctantly, I accepted John's resignation. I would like to thank him for what he has helped North Ferriby United to achieve during his time as Assistant Manager with Neil Allison and then as Manager in his own right for the last twelve months.

John leaves with the Club's best wishes for his future in football."

Ferriby have two matches in the coming week. On Monday they travel to League leaders Bradford Park Avenue then on Saturday they entertain Worksop Town in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

Assistant Manager Justin Whittle and Club Captain Paul Foot will take charge of team matters for these two games
