John Rooney opened the scoring for the Silkmen four minutes into Tuesday's game, before a Neil Kengni double saw the visitors go 3-0 ahead before the half-hour mark as they looked to stretch their unbeaten run to nine matches in all competitions.
However, free-scoring Radcliffe defied all odds to come back and record their ninth win in 10 league games.
Scott Duxbury and Olly Thornley helped make it a 3-2 scoreline at half-time, then Josh Hancock scored a quickfire double midway through the second half to complete the turnaround.
Elsewhere in the division, Warrington Rylands climbed up to second as a 77th minute header from Matty Regan was enough to see them past Workington.
The result was a timely one for the Blues, who were heavily beaten 4-0 by Avro in the FA Trophy third qualifying round on Friday.
Tuesday's only other game in the NPL saw Guiseley edge a five-goal thriller at home to Atherton Collieries, who have now lost seven of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Colls had recovered from 2-0 down to level matters with less than 30 minutes gone, but a Tom Denton penalty on the stroke of half-time proved to be enough for the Lions as they climbed above Gainsborough Trinity into 17th.
Results - Tuesday 10 October
Guiseley 3-2 Atherton Collieries
Radcliffe 4-3 Macclesfield
