NPL Statement: North Ferriby United

By James Gordon

An application to relocate North Ferriby United FC to Dunswell Park, and also a change of playing name to East Hull, has been rejected by the Northern Premier League.

The matter of the relocation, which is solely a decision for the Northern Premier League was considered at length at a meeting held on the 12th December and ultimately the request was refused.

As a stakeholder, the NPL had been asked by The Football Association for its views on the proposed name change. The LMC determined it could not support the application being considered by The FA.

This was advised to all parties in writing on 19th December 2018.

The decision of the LMC is now subject to appeal to The Football Association, and as such the Northern Premier League will make no further comment until matters are concluded.
