Personal touch pays dividends

James Graham is looking forward to stepping up his involvement with EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Grantham Town after extending his company's sponsorship package for the rest of the 2016-17 season.

Graham, who set up Grantham-based JAG Decorating in 1999, sponsored the club's clash with Halesowen Town in the EVO-STIK NPL's top flight last season.

Pictured alongside Gingerbreads director Sophie Cope at the Meres, the company he established eight years after leaving Grantham College with his City & Guilds has now taken a perimeter board at the stadium and a full page advert in The Gingerbread, the club's matchday magazine.

Graham knows his Non-League football after years of involvement with the Lincolnshire club and locally as a player. Cope is certainly no stranger to him.

He said: “Having helped coach the Grantham Town girls football team alongside Kevin Reader in 2004 when my step-daughter Ashan and our very own Sophie Cope and her twin sister Becky were players, being able to now sponsor Grantham Town makes me very proud and I think it would be fantastic for more people to get behind this great team and come and support our hometown club.

"I am passionate about grassroots football having played in the Grantham League with Billingborough and Pointon, although these days I prefer to be on the sidelines supporting my son Max who plays for Bourne Town U18s.”

Gingerbreads director Cope said: “I’m delighted JAG Decorating have increased their sponsorship for this season. It shows that our efforts in match sponsor hospitality are having a great effect for us.”
