Pickering take York youngster on loan

Pickering Town have signed young centre-back Jake Watson on loan from York City.

Watson, 18, signed his first professional contract in the summer and was a regular in York’s Under 19s last season, also turning out for the first team in a North Riding Senior Cup tie at Northallerton Town.

He joins the BetVictor Northern Premier N/West side on a one month deal.

Pickering start the season with a tough trip to Workington, who were relegated from step three at the end of the last campaign.
