Potter, 31, has been the club’s top scorer in three of the last four seasons and has scored 75 goals in 138 appearances.
Manager Michael Ellison said: It's clear for everyone to see what Freddie brings to the party. With his goalscoring exploits over the past few seasons, he's become a talisman for the club and a fans' favourite.
"When you actually see his goals to games ratio in black and white, it is quite exceptional and I do believe there is still more to come.
"He was really unfortunate last season with injuries which limited his game time - certainly in the second part of the season.
"I know he's looking forward to a good pre-season and if he can stay injury free, I'm sure we will see plenty more goals.
"It's great news for the club he's committed to another season."
Set-piece specialist Corrigan scored 10 goals in 46 appearances last season, including a free-kick in the final game of the season at Glossop North End.
