Premier Division round-up: Bank holiday weekend action

Two teams in the Premier Division remain undefeated following the bank holiday weekend action.

South Shields remain at the top of the table following victories over Grantham Town and Scarborough Athletic.

Graham Fenton's side claimed a 4-1 win at home over Grantham, with goals from Conor Tee, Dillon Morse, Ntumba Massanka and Sam Hodgson before travelling to the Flamingo Land Stadium and defeating Scarborough 2-0.

In second spot, Buxton first defeated Stalybridge Celtic 2-0 with both goals from Warren Clarke, before Ashley Chambers' goal helped seal a 1-0 away victory at Stafford Rangers.

Matlock Town sit third and started their bank holiday weekend with a 2-0 win over Warrington Town at Cantilever Park before going on to beat Gainsborough Trinity 3-0.

Bamber Bridge claimed a 1-0 victory on Saturday over Nantwich Town, and then the Yellows fought from 2-0 behind to claim a point at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

Hyde United claimed a 2-1 victory over FC United of Manchester with goals from Liam Hardy and Harry Benns before falling 3-2 to Mickleover.

FC United bounced back on bank holiday Monday with a 3-0 victory over Radcliffe, while Mickleover began their weekend with 3-0 defeat to Lancaster.

Elsewhere on the Saturday, Ashton United drew 0-0 with Stafford Rangers, Basford United and Witton Albion drew 2-2, Gainsborough Trinity defeated Whitby Town 1-0, Morpeth Town won 2-0 at home to Atherton Collieries and Scarborough won 1-0 over Radcliffe.

On the bank holiday Monday, Atherton Collieries defeated Lancaster City 3-1 and Grantham Town and Basford United drew 1-1.

Jacob Hazel scored both goals in Whitby Town's 2-1 victory over Morpeth, while Sean Cooke was the only goalscorer as Nantwich defeated Witton Albion 1-0.

Finally, Scott Bakkor scored a last minute penalty to claim a 1-0 victory at home over Ashton United.
