Premier Division round-up: FC United win on the road, Stafford slump continues

Regan Linney, the Northern Premier League’s top scorer this season, netted in the sixth and 90th minute to take his tally for the season to 20 goals.

Above them, Bamber Bridge climbed to third thanks to a 1-0 victory over Warrington Rylands at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

A stunning drive from Matty Thomson five minutes after half-time proved to be the difference between the teams.

Another side basking in the glory of a 1-0 victory is Marine, who defeated Stafford Rangers at the Marine Travel Arena.

A fine finish from Sol Solomon was enough to inflict a fifth successive league defeat on Rangers, whose season has petered away recently after a strong start to the season.

Elsewhere, Marske United came from behind to win 2-1 at Ashton United.

It was just their fourth outing since the beginning of December, and the points were secured thanks to Donald Chimalilo and George Horbury.

And finally, Radcliffe and Lancaster City played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Stainton Park.

Boro had led 2-0 heading into the final 20 minutes before quickfire goals from Jake Connelly and Bradley Carsley turned the game on its head and sealed a point for the Dolly Blues on their travels.
