The Gladiators made it four wins from four in dramatic circumstances, an own goal from goalkeeper Joe Green giving them a 2-1 win over Gainsborough Trinity.
The Holy Blues looked to have rescued a point through Ashley Worsfold’s late penalty, having conceded an early own goal through captain Nathan Hotte.
Nantwich have three wins from three, and they eased past Witton Albion 3-0 on Bank Holiday Monday.

The only other unbeaten team left in the division after four games are Grantham Town, who have actually only played three due to their involvement in the FA Cup.
They registered a second league win of the season, Greg Smith’s 50th minute goal proving enough to beat Basford United.
Another team that has made a fine start to the season is Hyde United, who came from behind to beat Buxton 3-1 at Ewen Fields.
Nico de Girolamo gave the Bucks, who sit second bottom with just one point from four games, an early lead but Tom Pratt and Jack Dyche turned it around before half time, before Dan Turner’s penalty made sure 15 minutes from time.
The only team below Buxton in the table are relegated Ashton United, who have endured a dismal start to life back in the NPL.
Their latest defeat came at home to Stalybridge Celtic, who themselves have had an encouraging start to the campaign.
Scott Bakkor’s penalty got them on their way on 13 minutes and Craig Hobson made sure on the hour mark for their second win in three.
Pre-season favourites South Shields had a Bank Holiday weekend to forget, as they were held to a goalless draw in front of 1,311 at Scarborough Athletic.
There was also a four figure crowd at Radcliffe, as 1,228 watched them hold FC United. Regan Linney cancelled out Matthew Wolfenden’s opener, but the Reds remain winless.
Morpeth Town’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end at Whitby Town, who won 2-1 thanks to Brad Fewster’s penalty 12 minutes from time.
Liam Henderson’s third goal of the season a minute in to the second half had cancelled out Luke Bythway’s opener as the Seasiders secured their second win in four.
Also winning their second game of the season was Warrington Town, who beat Bamber Bridge 3-1.
Ben Garrity scored a brace of trademark headers either side of Matty Chadwick’s strike had the points in the bag for the Yellows, well before Kieran Charnock’s consolation.
There was late drama at the Giant Axe, as David Norris struck an injury time winner for Lancaster City to beat Atherton Collieries 1-0, and it was also 1-0 at Mickleover Sports, as Mason Warren’s penalty was enough to see off Stafford Rangers.
