Prolific forward joins North Shields

North Shields have announced the signing of striker Callum Larmouth from Northern League side West Allotment Celtic.

Larmouth netted 30 goals for his previous club last season and has already bagged 12 more so far during the 2022/23 campaign.

Such performances last year saw him named the Northern League’s Young Player of the Year.

He joins a North Shields side currently 15th in the Pitching In NPL East Division after a run of eight matches without victory.

“Callum is a player I know well having spent a year at college,” said North Shields boss Marc Nash.

“He went off the football radar for a bit and is kind of a late starter at Step 5, but he had some impact in his first season last year when he scored his 30th goal of the season against us on the day we lifted the trophy.

“I’m delighted he’s joined us after a whole host of clubs had been chasing him.

“He will offer something different to our attack and is not afraid to shoot, so I think the fans will enjoy this exciting style.”
