Witton Albion manager Brian Pritchard is continuing to strengthen his squad for the new EVO-STIK League campaign.

Pritchard’s Premier Division squad returned to training on Tuesday with two new faces ahead of their first friendly against Runcorn Linnets on Tuesday 15 July.

Left-sided midfielder Iain Howard has signed on at Wincham Park after spending last season at Stockport County, pictured, where he started 39 games and scored 10 goals.

The 26-year-old spent three highly successful years at Chester and was part of no less than three promotion winning squads. In total, he made 111 appearances for Chester, scoring 35 goals along the way and has also played at Flixton and Ashton.

Howard is joined by Sam Barnes who’s arrived from Albion's Premier Division rivals Marine. The 22-year-old defender has also played for Hednesford and Stockport County. He made 30 appearances for the Mariners last season.
