Radcliffe announce fundraiser for goalkeeper

Radcliffe have launched a fundraiser to help goalkeeper Tom Stewart, who needs a hip operation.

He got the injury back in January, and has since been assessing his options.

As things stand, he will not be able to get an operation on the NHS until October, meaning he would miss pre-season and the start of next season.

The fundraiser is so he can go private and have his operation as early as possible. They are hoping to raise £2,500.

Of those to donate already, former Reading and Galatasaray midfielder Jem Karacan has donated £250. He played for Radcliffe at the start of the season, before announcing his retirement from football in January.
