Ravens front FA's Disney campaign!

The thriving women's football programme at EVO-STIK League Coalville Town is definitely in the national spotlight after the Football Association and Disney chose the Ravenettes to champion football for all!

With the FA's 2018 Girls Football Week kicking off on Monday 23 April, the Ravenettes are fronting this year's Hollywood-backed programme as the stars of adverts in cinemas around the country, on children's TV channel CITV, Disney's own channel and in promotional material from the media team at Wembley.

Cinema-goers watching Easter's hit Peter Rabbit movie have been among those who've been entertained by the Ravenettes after they were filmed in action for the official media campaign at the FA's St George's Park last month before being sworn to secrecy by producers.

More than 200 girls play in 15 teams the Integro League Cup finalists currently field and the club's staff and volunteers are also looking forward to taking part in the week long initiative with a series of high profile events at Owen Street, including hosting the national media for a Q&A session with England International and Birmingham City Ladies star Ellen White, pictured, and a training session with hundreds of girls.

The Disney Channel alone has more than 3.2 million subscribers and the EVO-STIK League Premier Division club's secretary Steve Cartwright said: "We're very proud that Disney and the FA chose our girls section to star in the official video and hope they are helping to inspire many more girls to enjoy playing football. It's a real endorsement of our efforts and the publicity has been fantastic, to say the least!"

Running until Sunday 29 April, the FA teamed up with Disney this season to inject some extra excitement into Girls’ Football Week with many of the fun activities and games set to inspired by the well-loved female characters from hit family movies Zootropolis, Tangled and Moana.

Girls taking part will also be awarded certificates for attending and a 20 per cent discount voucher to use in Disney stores. Other Northern Premier League clubs involved in the initiative include Leek Town and Cleethorpes Town representing EVO-STIK League South who both run FA SSE Wildcat Centres.
