Roll up your sleeves for Rangers!

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Stafford Rangers are inviting their fans down to a 'Marston Road Clean Up' on Sunday.

With work completed in recent weeks on revamping changing rooms, dug outs, the ball-boy room and sponsors lounge, the Premier Division club who lifted the Walsall Senior Cup in April, pictured, are hoping fans will put their summer break on hold to help tidy up the ground for the new season.

SRFC Commercial Manager Stuart Maun said supporters are needed for everything from a litter patrol and sweeping up the terraces to cleaning advertising hoardings. Where possible, volunteers should bring along a spare shovel, buckets, sponges and any other useful items.

Maun said: "The 'Clean Up' day will start from about 2pm on Sunday and there will be a list of jobs that need to be done, so we'll just work our way through that. Volunteers can give as much or as little time as they have on the day - with every pair of hands welcomed. We'll make sure we have tea and coffee and some goodies on hand for the helpers!"

Maun also thanked Matt Bloomer from local company Traction for providing the club with a 'boom lift' to affix loose hoardings and add new ones including new sponsors YESSS Electrical and the Greyhound at Yarlet.

"Traction has not charged for the hire of the equipment, which we are truly grateful for. Once again, another example of how local companies are willing to support SRFC," added Maun.
