Loyalty bonus for Mariners

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine are rewarding their most loyal fans by discounting season tickets for the new Premier Division campaign.

The Mariners are taking advantage of the league's expansion to 24 clubs in August to offer specially reduced rates for adults, students, concessions and younger fans who purchase their tickets before July 31.

Instead of paying £170 for an adult season ticket now covering 23 home league games, they'll be charged £150 to give them an effective discount of 30 per cent on last season's turnstile prices at the Arriva Stadium.

Senior citizens, college and university students can enjoy the same rate of discount with tickets on sale for £80 before the price rises to £100 on August 1.

Junior season tickets for fans aged 11-16 are available for £20 until the deadline, a rate that works out at less than £1 per to see the club's entire campaign under new manager Phil Brazier.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: "Next season the number of clubs in our league is to increase to 24 reflecting changes in the prices of our season tickets. However we felt that it is important that we were able to offer our fans discount season ticket prices especially if they are purchased a little earlier.

"The £20 junior ticket price for schoolchildren has been very popular and we had no hesitation in retaining that offer. This is an exciting time for new supporters to watch Marine. We have a great family friendly atmosphere at our home games and I believe that the prices of our season tickets offer really good value."

Leary added: "With new manager Phil Brazier in place preparations are well on the way for the new season. There will be some new players joining us and I look forward to seeing them and most of the squad from last season return to training next week.

"The arrival of Tranmere Rovers, Southport and UEFA Europa League qualifiers Bala Town in pre-season friendlies at the Arriva Stadium gives possible new fans the opportunity to sample the very special atmosphere at Marine."

Season tickets can be bought at Gate 3 at the Arriva Stadium and in the club shop at half-time during Marine's upcoming pre-season schedule. Applications can also be made in writing to the Secretary, Marine FC, The Arriva Stadium, College Rd Crosby, Liverpool L23 3AS. Cheques should be made payable to Marine FC.
