Sneekes, appointed last week as the successor to Neil Tooth at Coles Lane, named Hinks as his assistant manager ahead of the weekend after his old number two agreed to rekindle their successful partnership.
The pair were reunited in the technical area for the first time on Saturday for the 3-1 reverse in the EVO-STIK NPL's top flight at their former stomping ground, Rushall Olympic.
In a statement on the club's website, officials said Carlos de Azevedo had stepped down from his first-team role as a result of the appointment but was continuing to manage the club's academy side.
The experienced Hinks, pictured, manages the bar at Coles Lane when not coaching. After leaving the Pics with Sneekes he returned to Barwell to coach for manager Jimmy Ginnelly again.
