The Vikings promised to update their fans on their newly vacant managerial hotseat in a short statement confirming the departure of Anderson and his number two Mally Parker from the EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club's Victoria Pleasure Grounds.
The club said: "Following a run of poor results, club directors have today taken the decision to part company with Dave Anderson and Mally Parker. We would like to thank Dave and Mally for their efforts and we wish them both well for the future. A further statement will be announced in due course."
Former Vikings player and Barton Town Old Boys boss Anderson, pictured, was named as the successor to Lee Morris in September after he left to take the helm at Frickley Athletic in the EVO-STIK NPL's top flight. He was relieved of his duties at his second from bottom side after a run of three straight defeats, Saturday's 2-1 reverse at home to Prescot Cables his final game at the helm.
As the hunt start to replace Anderson ahead of the club's home game with Colwyn Bay on Saturday, the Vikings have asked senior players Derry Robson and David Taylor to hold the fort.
