In the league, Stamford AFC and Carlton Town shared a 1-1 draw at the Zeeco Stadium. The Daniels, with games in hand after their FA cup exploits, were looking to move clear of a drop zone that included their Nottingham visitors.
But when Aaron Hooton put Carlton in front from the penalty spot after 34 minutes, things didn`t look good for Graham Drury`s side. However, they earned a point when Grant Ryan levelled 9 minutes into the second half.
The point was enough to move Carlton out of the bottom two on goal difference and the Daniels up to sixteenth.
In the Integro Cup, the 181 who braved sub-zero temperatures to watch the tie between Premier Division Workington AFC and First Division North visitors Ramsbottom United were forced to endure a penalty shoot-out after a 2-2 draw.
Joe McGee gave the Reds a 34th minute lead that Gareth Seddon cancelled out almost immediately. Elliot Newby restored the Reds lead 10 minutes after the break, only for the former Salford City favourite to notch his second of the game on the hour-mark. Workington eventually went through 4-2 on penalties.
