Mossley maintained their four point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North table after winning at Salford City on Saturday, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Kayde Coppin gave the Lilywhites a 14th minute lead at Moor Lane and Sam Madeley maintained his good form with the second 15 minutes from time.

Skelmersdale United, who have played four games fewer than Mossley, still possess a 100 percent record after edging out Curzon Ashton 3-2 at home.

It was goalless at the break and then Kristian Dennis put the visitors in front eight minutes after the restart. Just three minutes later Mark Jackson pulled Skem back on level terms, only for Dennis again to make it 2-1 to the visitors just five minutes later.

Rob McIntosh equalised on 79 minutes and Tommy Lawson's side won it through Josh Hine as stoppage time approached.

There was a shock for third-placed Farsley FC, however, as a brace from Aaron Bowen in the 17th and 45th minutes after Jamie Henders had opened the scoring in the 10th minute secured a fine 3-1 win for Cammell Laird at Throstle Nest – Adam Priestley replying 12 minutes from the end.

Fourth-placed Clitheroe could only manage a 1-1 draw at Ingfield against Ossett Town, whose Simon Baldry grabbed an 82nd minute equaliser after the visitors had led from the 28th minute with Alex Johnson's effort.

Warrington Town enjoyed a 7-2 hammering of second-placed Goole AFC at the Abacus Solicitors Community Stadium after substitute Phil Mooney scored a hat-trick.

Town were dealt an early scare after keeper Andy Robertson made an error that allowed Goole's Callum Russell to give them a 25th minute lead. But an inspired substitution saw Luke Holden come on and a minute before the break the home side were awarded a penalty and Holden pulled the scores level.

The returning Allan Collins scored on 65 minutes and 10 minutes later defender James McCarten got in on the act and made it 3-1. Mooney made it 4-1 on 78 minutes before Bill Law pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 82nd minute. Mooney got his second and Town's fifth on the 85th minute before completing his hat-trick a minute later.

Burscough fell only one short of their neighbours after winning 6-1 at Station View against Harrogate Railway Athletic.

This time it was virtually game over by half-time as the Linnets led 4-0 with goals from Liam Caddick in the 16th minute, Will Jones in the 21st and 43rd and David Lynch on the half-hour mark.

Anthony Field made it nap on 65 minutes and Caddick added the sixth two minutes later, with Liam Hardy scoring a consolation for 'Rail four minutes after that.

Shelton Payne outgunned team-mate Michael Oates this time as Trafford won 4-1 at home against Radcliffe Borough.

It was leading scorer Oates who gave the hosts an early 3rd minute lead from the spot and then Payne hit a quickfire brace to make it 3-0 with only six minutes played! Payne completed his hat-trick a minute before half-time, with Boro `winning` the second half, thanks to Matthew Chadwick's 85th minute penalty.

Micah Bleau scored at both ends as Wakefield were beaten 2-1 at home by Ramsbottom United.

Bleau gave the Bears an 8th minute lead than Mark Ayres eventually cancelled out just past the hour-mark. And just four minutes later Bleau's own goal eventually proved to be the winner for Rammy.

Managerless New Mills moved into fifth place after winning 4-1 at Irongate against Bamber Bridge.

Michael Fish gave the Millers a 22nd minute lead that Daryl Weston, on 30 minutes, and Luke Horrocks, on 41 minutes, added to before the break. David Fitzpatrick made it 4-0 from the spot seven minutes after the restart, with Greg Johnstone reducing the arrears 15 minutes from time.

And it was the same scoreline at Garforth Town as the basement side were beaten by Prescot Cables, for whom this was a first victory of the season to date.

Glyn Barker put Cables ahead after 20 minutes and then Jack Webb finally doubled their lead on 64 minutes. Barker's second made it game over in the 71st minute, with Jonathan Bathurst adding a fourth with seven minutes remaining, although there was still time for Fernando Moke to spoil Cables' clean sheet.
