Evo-Stik NPL First Division South leaders Coalville Town made it a remarkable twenty-one goals in their last three league games after demolishing second-bottom Hucknall Town 9-1, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Astonishingly, the victory was away with Coalville taking a 5-0 lead at half-time - Danny Davidson and Jerome Murdock both bagging braces with Cameron Powell netting the other goal.

Davidson completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute and Callum Woodward, Anthony Carney and Chris Gibson made it 9-0 before Alex Ford netted a 70th minute consolation for beleaguered Hucknall, who must have feared even worse as there was still 20 minutes to go!

King's Lynn Town remain five points behind the Ravens with a game in hand after having a much tougher test at The Walks in beating Northwich Victoria.

Russ Dunkle'`s goal right on the stroke of half-time eventually proved enough for the Linnets in front of a crowd of 743.

Stamford AFC are third after edging past Market Drayton Town at Kettering Road.

Nicky Porter gave the Shropshire visitors an early ninth minute lead that Louis Hamilton equalised in the 24th minute. A brace from Sam Mullarkey in the 38th and 55th minute gave Graham Drury's side a 3-1 lead that Ryan Connor reduced from the penalty spot seven minutes from time, but the Daniels held on.

Fourth-placed Sheffield FC, however, were beaten at home by the same scoreline by Sutton Coldfield Town, who raced into a 3-0 lead by the 16th minute with two goals from Kristian Ramsey-Dickson and one from Luke Chapman.

Club were never really able to recover from that, although they did try, with Jamie Hadfield pulling one back five minutes later. But they weren't able to penetrate the Royals defence again until three minutes from time when Steven Woolley netted from the spot.

A first half brace from Sam MacVicar saw Carlton Town win 2-0 at Coles Lane against Sutton Coldfield's tenants, Romulus.

The win, remarkably Carlton's fifth in five trips to Coles Lane, moves the Millers to tenth in the table. MacVicar opened the scoring on five minutes when he was on hand to volley home after Adam Kimberley's superb 25-yard effort hit the bar.

And the former Loughborough Dynamo striker doubled his tally on 40 minutes when he turned neatly onto Reuben Wiggins-Thomas's flick and thrashed the ball past Lewis Exall.

First half goals from Liam Davis and Liam Dickens ensured that Brigg Town returned home with all three points from their trip to Derby against Mickleover Sports.

Brigg's second victory in a row sees the team move up to eleventh place in the table. New signing Christian Millar took just 15 minutes to give Newcastle Town the lead at the Lyme Valley Stadium against Gresley FC.

Tom France doubled Castle's lead just before the break and Neville Thompson added a third on 67 minutes – with the Moatmen replying two minutes later through Jordan Gough.

It was a see-saw encounter nearby between Kidsgrove Athletic and Loughborough Dynamo which resulted in the home side earning only a second win of the season to date.

Liam Shotton gave Grove a 12th minute lead that Reece Lester cancelled out 14 minutes later, only for Paul Taylor to restore the home side's lead four minutes after that. Just three minutes on and Dynamo were back on terms, courtesy of Shawn Richards, only for Shotton to score what was to prove to be the winner straight after the break.

The basement battle saw Leek Town earn a crucial 2-1 win at Ashby Avenue against Lincoln United.

Leek led through Dan Shelley's sixth minute opener and Tim Grice's 26th minute effort, with George Zuerner pulling one back for the hosts on 64 minutes.

Fifth-placed Halesowen Town were surprised at The Grove by Rainworth Miners Welfare, whose Blair Anderson gave them an early eighth minute lead. Kieran Walker doubled that on 56 minutes and Ryan Goward made it virtually game won with a third in the 68th, although Ben Smith did manage an 87th minute reply.

The game at The Scholars between Chasetown and Belper Town ended all-square at 1-1, with both goals coming late on.

Jared Stephens broke the deadlock by giving the visiting Nailers a 78th minute lead that Danny Smith levelled with only three minutes to go.
