Only three matches survived the wet weather in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North on Saturday, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.
Farsley FC moved into fifth place in the table after beating Yorkshire rivals Ossett Albion 2-0 at Throstle Nest.
The crowd of 212 had to wait until the 62nd minute for a goal to arrive – and then two came in a minute!
Brice Tiani gave the hosts the breakthrough and Dave Stead doubled that almost straight away. Albion remain third-bottom after their quick-fire strikes.
Second-bottom Goole AFC followed up Boxing Day's win over Harrogate Railway Athletic with a point from a goalless draw against mid-table Salford City at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds.
And the only other game in the division saw Cammell Laird earn local bragging rights against neighbouring Burscough with a 4-2 success in a 12pm kick-off at Kirklands.
It took until 20 minutes from time for the breakthrough to come, courtesy of the Linnets' Liam Caddick. But Laird responded with three goals in 11 minutes, equalising two minutes later through Freddie Potter and then adding strikes from Joe Holt and John Couch.
Paul Williams pulled one back in the last minute, only for Jamie Henders to make it 4-2 from the spot in stoppage time.
