A crowd of 434 saw Glossop go top above Warrington Town, who were involved in the FA Trophy, but only on goal difference.
Clitheroe were the only other top five side in league action and they won 3-0 at home against Harrogate Railway Athletic.
Scott Bakkor gave the Blues an 11th mknute lead but it wasn’t until the 68th minute that Sefton Gonzales made the points more secure. He then added a second in injury-time to make it 3-0.
Bamber Bridge beat Ossett Albion 2-0 at Irongate, thanks to goals from Darren Green after 11 minutes and Nicky Platt after 28 minutes, while Lancaster City`s climb up the table continues after a 5-0 drubbing of Prescot Cables at the Giant Axe.
Gavin Clark after 11 minutes, Zach Clark eight minutes later and Billy Akrigg gave the Dolly Blues a 3-0 interval lead. Ryan Winder two minutes after the restart and then Clark`s second on 67 minutes made it a nap hand.
Trafford are now seventh after a 3-1 win at the Butcher`s Arms against struggling Droylsden.
Dominic Smith put the Bloods in front after 35 minutes but that lasted barely two minutes as Joel Melia levelled and two minutes after that Chris McDonagh gave Trafford the lead – a lead he added to again on 64 minutes.
