Coalville Town maintained their unbeaten start to the season and a three-point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South table after edging out Northwich Victoria at home on Saturday, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Ryan Robbins proved to be the Ravens' hero, scoring the only goal of the game against Vics on the hour-mark.

King's Lynn Town are second after a good 3-1 win at relegated Mickleover Sports where Stephen Spriggs scored twice in the 20th and 35th minute, sandwiching a Martin Smith reply for the hosts. Ross Watson made sure for the Linnets with a third just past the hour-mark.

Lincoln United picked up their first point of the season with a 3-3 draw at Market Drayton Town.

United's hero was two-goal Chris Funnell after Scott Coupland pulled the visitors level from the penalty spot in the 10th minute after they had fallen behind six minutes earlier to a Craig Ryan effort.

Funnell then put Lincoln in front on 18 minutes but the found themselves 3-2 down at half-time after goals from Rhys Swetman and Ryan again. But Funnell scored what eventually proved to be the winner four minutes after half-time.

Sheffield FC are third after beating Rainworth Miners Welfare 4-1 at home, coming back from being a 13th minute Ewan Clarke goal down.

Aaron Martin bagged a brace in the 40th and 45th minute and then Andy Gascoigne on 55 minutes and Shoquliee McKenzie in injury-time completed the win.

Loughborough Dynmo broke their home duck in style, hammering Kidsgrove Athletic 5-1 in which David Blenkinsopp gave them an early second minute lead and it was 4-0 at half-time with further strikes from Liam Shotton, Reece Lester and a Matt Langham penalty.

A second spot-kick from Langham made it nap on 57 minutes, with Jamie Clarke`s 87th minute effort being scant consolation for 'Grove.

Brigg Town and Halesowen Town shared a 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns – with all four goals coming in an eight minute spell either side of half-time.

The recently returned Bruno Holden gave the Zebras a 44th minute lead from the spot and immediately afterwards Liam Dickens made it 2-0. New signing Luke Corbett pulled one back for the Yeltz two minutes after the break and then Dan Evans equalised a minute later!

Romulus won 3-1 at Watnall Road against Hucknall Town in which Daniel O`Callaghan bagged a brace in the 19th and 77th minute. Dexter Ravenhill scored Roms' second on 52 minutes, with Evan Garnett replying for Town 20 minutes from time.

Roms' tenants Sutton Coldfield Town won 2-0 at Coles Lane against Newcastle Town with goals from Luke Chapman five minutes before half-time and Joel Kettle 11 minutes from the end.
