Coalville Town maintained their six-point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South table following Saturday's round of matches, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Ravens enjoyed another good away day, this time at Coles Lane against Sutton Coldfield Town, hitting four without reply to make it eight wins and a draw from their nine games so far.

Lewis Dodd gave Coalville a great start with the opener inside four minutes and Cameron Stuart added to that on 18 minutes. A brace from Ryan Robbins after 38 and 47 minutes sealed victory and condemn new Sutton Coldfield boss Neil Tooth to his first defeat since taking over.

Second-placed King's Lynn Town attracted a crowd of 709 for the visit of Romulus to The Walks and the majority went home happy after a 3-0 success for the home side with goals from Russell Dunkley inside the opening minute, Stephen Spriggs after 24 minutes and then Jason Lee after 68 minutes.

Third-placed Sheffield FC won by the odd goal in five at The Grove against Halesowen Town.

But Coub had to come back from being two down to goals from Jean Gueyes after seven minutes and Luke Corbett from the penalty spot right on half-time.

Steve Woolley's spot-kick pulled the first back five minutes after the restart and then Jamie Hadfield levelled in the 76th, with Shoquilee McKenzie winning it for the visitors nine minutes from time.

Fourth-placed Stamford AFC came back from two goals down to snatch the points in another five-goal thriller at the Hawthorns against Brigg Town.

The Zebras led 2-0 with just 20 minutes remaining after goals from Adam Lee and Liam Davis before the away side scored three goals in four minutes - Gary King on 70, Greg Smith on 72 and an Andy Hall penalty after 74 minutes to snatch all three points.

Bottom side Lincoln United earned only their second point of the campaign to date with a 2-2 draw at Newcastle Town, who twice led through Neville Thompson and Jack Harrison only to be pulled back by Scott Coupland and David Coyde, whose equaliser came seven minutes from time.

Hucknall Town looked to be cruising to a comfortable win over Chasetown after goals from Alex Ford after 33 minutes, Julian Topliss on 68 and Ford again six minutes from time – Tyrone Clarke-O'Connell replying – but Gary Hay's second for the Scholars three minutes from time led to a nervy finale at Watnall Road.

Loughborough Dynamo and Belper Town couldn`t find a goal between them, while Rainworth Miners Welfare took an 11th minute lead at home to Kidsgrove Athletic, who equalised through Andy Kinsey seven minutes after the break.

But the hosts went on to win, courtesy of Karl Slack on 66 minutes and Jordan Turner's 87th minute spot-kick.

Martyn Davies gave Market Drayton Town a 41st minute lead at Mickleover Sports and then doubled that with only 17 minutes left through Matt Johnson. But Sports recovered to pull back for a point with goals from Nick Woods on 76 minutes and David Moon seveb minutes from time.
