With Leek Town on FA Trophy duty, Halesowen Town moved to within four points of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division South leaders after going nap at home to basement side Bedworth United on Saturday, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The experienced Iyseden Christie gave the Yeltz a 13th minute lead from the penalty spot, but it wasn't until the second half that they managed to pull away from the Greenbacks. Kristian Green added a second on 57 minutes, Curtis Till a third four minutes later and then Christie grabbed his second and Halesowen's fourth five minutes after that. Recent signing Avun Jephcott made it a nap hand five minutes from time.

Two goals in the final 16 minutes helped Carlton Town to a 3-1 win over Loughborough Dynamo and third place. Danny Elliott had given the Millers a second minute lead but Loughborough missed a number of opportunities to level before finally converting through Nathan Kelly on 44 minutes.

Dynamo paid for those misses as Carlton enjoyed the better of the second half and Sam MacVicar's header on 74 minutes put the Millers back in front, before substitute Joe Brothwell confirmed victory in injury-time with an excellent solo goal.

Mickleover Sports are fifth after a 2-0 home win over Newcastle Town in which Leon Ashman put through his own goal to give Sports an eighth minute lead that Karl Demidh doubled on 37 minutes.

Belper Town enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win at Christchurch Meadow against second-bottom Kidsgrove Athletic in which Mark Ward gave the Nailers a 37th minute lead. Jon Froggatt bagged a second half brace with Kieran Wells adding the other nine minutes from time.

New-look Goole AFC snatched an 80th minute winner from Ryan Williams at The Scholars against Chasetown in a game that had 0-0 written all over it.

Lincoln United moved up to fifteenth in the table after a 2-1 Ashby Avenue win over Romulus, with Matt Langham scoring either side of a 31st minute Craig Marshall goal for Roms.

Romulus' landlords Sutton Coldfield Town won 1-0 at Coles Lane against Eastwood Town, courtesy of the experienced Mark Danks after 68 minutes.

Elsewhere, Rainworth Miners Welfare came back from 3-1 down to share a 3-3 home draw with Market Drayton Town, whose Nicky Porter scored twice and Yannick Makota the other – Ashley Longstaff and then a Jamie Clarke brace drew the Wrens level.
