Seadogs mark goal milestones

Scarborough Athletic recently celebrated the milestone of 1,000 competitive goals since the club was born in 2007.

Striker Michael Coulson notched the goal in a win over Marine at the Flaming Land Stadium on November 17.

It comes just over 11 years since the club’s first ever goal, scored by David Thompson in a 2-1 defeat to Terversal FC in the Northern Counties East League First Division on August 11, 2007.

Both Thompson and Coulson were presented mementos for the goalscoring milestones for the club by chairman Trevor Bull and ever present director, Andy Troughton.
