The 25-year-old former Droylsden hot-shot, pictured, has already scored 12 goals this season, including a hat-trick in a 5-0 win at Burscough, despite the struggles of second from bottom Cables. Last season, the forward was the division's third highest scorer with 26, including four goals in the space of 19 minutes in a 4-2 win over Harrogate Railway.
Bay's interim manager Phill Hadland told the club's fans on Friday that he was delighted to have sewn up the deal in time for Christmas and thanked Prescot for their co-operation in signing Doran who is expected to make his debut when Trafford arrive at Llanelian Road on Boxing Day.
Hadland said: "I see Rob bringing strength, pace and goals to the side and he is a tremendous signing for us. The fact he has scored so many goals in a struggling side shows his potential and I think he will compliment what we already have here and will get a lot more goal scoring opportunities."
