Seasiders flying new flag!

Whitby Town

Whitby Town are set to see a new flag hoisted above the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Turnbull Ground thanks to a generous donation from a Scarborough-based firm, writes Paul Connolly.

Premier Engineering, who serve the UK and overseas, generously donated £200 to fund the new club flag at the Premier Division's Seasiders. The flag will feature both of Whitby's club badges, side-by-side, with 'Whitby Town FC' above, and is being produced by local company Vinyl Signs.

The flag is set to be raised for the first time later this month when the Seasiders kick off their second home game against Frickley Athletic on Monday 26 August.

A Whitby Town spokesman said: "Whitby Town would like to thank Vinyl Signs and particularly Eddie McNamee, for getting the funding, Colin Grout for organising the flag and Premier Engineering for their very generous donation."
