The Evo-Stik League Manager of the Month Awards have gone to Neil Young [Chester FC] in the Premier Division, Carl Garner [Clitheroe FC] in the First North and Lee Casswell [Leek Town] in the First South.
After Wednesday night’s 3-0 victory over Chorley Neil’s Chester side showed an impressive six straight wins without a goal being conceded. For the record the award does not include County Cup fixtures.
Carl Garner of Clitheroe FC takes the First North Award but this decision was far from easy as there were several contenders including Skelmersdale’s Tommy Lawson and Mossley’s Gareth McClelland but Clitheroe’s record included two very impressive FA Cup victories which edged it over his rivals.
The First Division South Award again was a very tight decision with several clubs in the frame. The conclusion of the panel however was to give the award to Lee Casswell at Leek Town who up to Wednesday’s League Cup reversal at Witton Albion had a 100% record over League and Cup.
Neil Young will receive his award of personalised Errea benchwear and a suitably inscribed certificate prior to the kick off of the Chester FC v Chasetown League fixture on the 8th October. On the same day Lee Casswell will receive his award prior to the Leek Town v Ilkeston FC League encounter. Carl Garner will be presented with his award on the 15th October prior to the Clitheroe versus Witton Albion game.
