Seven NPL clubs await FA Cup draw

By James Gordon

Seven Northern Premier League teams have an interest in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round draw.

The draw will take place today, Monday, at 3.15pm live on TalkSport2, including clubs from the National League.

Already through to the fourth qualifying round, and within 90 minutes of the first round proper, are Buxton, Pontefract Collieries, Morpeth Town and Stamford after wins at the weekend.

Buxton hit six past fellow NPL club City of Liverpool, while Pontefract also hit six past Handsworth FC.

Morpeth saw off Premier Division rivals Radcliffe 3-1 and Stamford came from behind to beat Norwich United 2-1.

Still in the draw are Atherton Collieries and Marine, who battled out a goalless draw at the weekend and will go again tomorrow.

And they are joined by plucky Marske United, who held National League North side Chester 0-0 on Saturday and will try their luck in the north west on Tuesday night.

Fourth qualifying round games are due to take place on Saturday October 16.
