New physio John Cooper and press officer Paul Mullins are leading a team of fundraisers for the Alzheimer's Society after the former was asked to pose for a picture for the EVO-STIK League South club's website and joked: "Come back in a few weeks when I've lost a few pounds".
After a discussion about a joint desire to lose a bit of weight, the pair shook hands before the club's recent friendly at Heath Hayes on a joint vow to 'fine' themselves for missing a series of strict weight loss targets they've set themselves until next April and the end of the 2017-18 season.
Four fans signed up for the challenge at the match and with others being encouraged to follow suit, media man Mullins, pictured, is planning to post of a public record of their weigh-ins throughout the season for fellow supporters.

The heaviest 'fines' will be imposed for any weight gain and he said: "All Chasetown fans are invited to join us if they want to lose some weight themselves. And, if you are lucky enough that you don't need to lose any weight but would like to support those of us who are trying to, we would welcome supporters to sponsor one of us - maybe £1 for every pound we lose - to boost the amount of money we can raise."
