Seadogs story has happy ending

The proud fans, players and officials of Scarborough Athletic will soon be reading about the long battle to end their decade in exile and return to a dream home in an upcoming issue of fcbusiness, the football industry magazine.

Veteran sports journalist Tony Incenzo sent his thanks to Seadogs chairman Trevor Bull and the EVO-STIK League North club's staff and fans on Friday after covering their return to the town and first match at their newly sponsored Flamingo Land Stadium for fcbusiness which has been covering the football industry in the UK and the Republic of Ireland since 2004.

This month's inaugural fixture against Sheffield United marking the start of a new era for the club attracted a sell-out crowd, pictured, to the purpose-built 2,000 capacity stadium, part of the Scarborough Leisure Village.

Sky Sports and talkSPORT TV and radio reporter Incenzo tweeted: "My thanks to Scarborough Athletic chairman Trevor Bull for a great @fcbusiness interview on the business model of a fan-owned club @safc."
